Meet the Dogs: A Designer Diary on Board Game Geek

As there are just over two weeks until we launch Dog Park on Kickstarter, I thought it was about time I wrote a post about the actual dogs. In this new Designer Diary on Board Game Geek, I dig into the dog cards and the player areas in which they are kept. In the extract below I discuss the dog abilities.

They have three trigger points in the game: During Selection, When Walking, and During Final Scoring. The different trigger points means there are opportunities to create combos and generate bonuses throughout each round of the game. The variable trigger points also offer players different strategies to pursue. Should you favour end-of-game dogs that delivery on victory points? Or should you fill your Kennel with dogs who love to be walked and who will reward you with resources in the Park. I’ll let you find out...
